"Justification is a forensic act, that is, an act of divine judgment, by which God freely forgives a sinner his sin, because He imputes to him the righteousness of Christ. Therefore justification is a new relation of acceptance with God for Christ sake. It is by faith alone, because faith apprehends Christ who by His obedience is righteousness before God, " (A.G.
